Personality

Urso has a light hearted, relaxed, and optimistic outlook on life from his time working on the farm. He is one that enjoys a good joke, even if it is said during the course of battle. In bleaker instances, he does have the capacity to take the situation around him more seriously.  His time at the farm also made him appreciate hard work and dedication to training as an adventurer. Seeing how sticking to tradition and routine would have caused him to continue farming, he is also willing to bend or break some rules in order to help others. He is, however, unwilling to go to extremes like torture.

Backstory

Arn Urso began life on his parents’ farm, living a quiet life. He helped his parents around the farm until one day where he began to realize how boring farming was to him. Nearly every day, he would wake up, tend to the fields, then repeat. After some time of wrestling with this boredom, he set out from the farm to find adventure taking his family sword with him. He found his way to the nearest town and began searching for work. After about a week of searching, he was able to find work as a groundskeeper at the university. This work was slightly more interesting than the farm he left, but he still found it dull. During his stint as groundskeeper, he and Boppip Backfire formally met as Boppip was one of the few people at the university who would chat with Urso and treat him with dignity. With this and their light hearted outlooks on life, the two became close friends during their respective times at the university. It is with Boppip that Urso would get his chance at adventure. Boppip decided to leave the university believing adventuring would serve a more productive way to learn alchemy. Seeing this as a chance to pursue the adventure he longed for, Urso joined Boppip seeking adventure as a swordsman. Two weeks into asking adventurers to take them as members, Boppip would approach King James II with a proposition. Boppip proposed to King James II to, not only take Boppip as an aspiring alchemist, but also take Urso on as a fledgling Ranger after proving his potential.

Summary

At the end of the day, Urso is a man who is true to his word seeking the excitement of adventure while having a laid back attitude through most of if. Even with this attitude, he is willing to bend or break some rules in order to help others, especially those he considers friends.
