Rules

General

  1. All GM rulings are final. Discussing rules or working to understand a ruling is permissible, but excessive arguing over a ruling takes time away from everyone getting to play. Pauses are intended for the benefit and clarity of GM’s and Players, it is not for the sake of arguing a ruling. In some cases, story can be altered as a result of a player arguing with GM’s, player characters could be taken hostage or even lose limbs. In extreme cases this can result in asking the player to sit out from play. Any issues must be taken up with GM’s at the end of the day.

  2. No excessive interruptions or distractions when a GM is explaining rules, a scenario, etc. Penalties are possible at GM’s discretion.

  3. Any players who wear glasses will be asked to remove their glasses before combat. Depending on the Role Play, the game may be paused in order for Glasses to be collected by GM. Under no circumstances can players wear glasses during combat for the sake of safety.

  4. No using other player’s weapons or gear without the other player’s permission in any circumstance. This can be asking every time, a general understanding beforehand, etc. Both players need to be on the same page about it though, so communicate well. Penalties are possible at GM’s discretion.

  5. “Pause” can be called by any player to pause play, and GM will follow suit. All players are to stop play to listen.

  6. “Play” will called by GM when game is resuming. GM will issue it when the “Pause” is resolved and after the GM sees all players’ thumbs up in the air.

  7. Be on time to better serve everyone LARPing. This allows for more hands to set up, more time to play, and more time to hang out in community. If you can’t make the time posted, let the GMs know so arrangements can be made as needed.

  8. Any new gear that was not on your person at your first LARP as your character must be purchased at Merchant Point or found through the story at GM’s discretion. Let a GM know what gear you are getting for approval and to possibly save Drakes if it can be acquired through the story. These items include armor, weapons, accessories, clothing, artifacts, any item you didn’t have.

Physical COntact

  1. Safety is our #1 priority in playing so everyone can leave the LARP only slightly more bruised than when they entered. All equipment must be approved by GM’s before use.

  2. Do not grab another players weapon. Tucking weapons under arms or holding a weapon with your hands is strictly forbidden unless an ability explicitly allows it and will be penalized if this is not the case at the GM’s discretion.

  3. Grabbing another player is strictly forbidden. Grappling another player is only acceptable given an ability to do so. Penalties will be given out at GM’s discretion.

  4. No excessive force when swinging or using weapons. Penalties are possible at GM’s discretion.

  5. No hand to hand combat without the use of foam Hulk hand or other adequately foam padded gloves. Foam hands may not be thrown at another player at any time. If they do not meet standard, they can NOT be used. Penalties are possible at GM’s discretion. (No fist fighting Chow and Jared.)

  6. Do not throw weapons other than specifically GM approved throwing weapons, I.E. Throwing Daggers, Throwing Axes, Spell Bags, etc.

Garb

  1. Any player participating in a scene over the weekend should be in LARP appropriate clothing to better portray the atmosphere. Any regular player not in proper garb will be restricted from playing at GM’s discretion.

  2. Any new players can play a minion without proper garb at GM’s discretion. (Plain T-shirt and pants for example. The clothing cannot be overly distracting during play.)

  2. Loss of Drake Salary for the day, Loss of HP.

  3. Automatically knocked out and must be revived.
