Currency
The Drake
Immersion
The Drake is an in-game currency designed to increase immersion through world building and insentivises character development. Through encouraging exchange, professional development, and a more advanced level of gameplay and situational variety, players are rewarded for active participation.
Purchasing Power
Drakes act as a mediator in trade so a player is not required to give up something of their own such as a weapon or potion, though this type of explicit trade is still acceptable.
Acquiring
Income
Every player who participates in the LARP event weekend will receive 1 Drake per day.
Missions
Completing and taking on missions from other characters will yield a Drake count.
Advances
A subset of Missions. When taking on a mission your character could request from the one giving the mission to give you a certain amount of Drakes upfront.
Selling
You can sell items you own in order to gain Drakes. Once items have been sold, you no longer have possession over them in-game.
Fine Crafts
Characters with certain hobbies can leverage their abilities to create special items to sell. If a character has cooking as a hobby, the player could prepare small snacks for other characters to buy in-game. Creative liberty can be discussed with the gamemasters for additional ideas.
Borrowing
You may borrow Drakes or other items from another character. It is up to the other character if they expect repayment and if there are stipulations.
Loaning
You may take out a loan from a character or in-game organization such as a banking clan with repayment and interest expected. Loans could also have additional conditions such as a time requirement or mission request. If you are unable to hold up your side of the agreement, you could be facing sell swords who are seeking to claim your bounty.
Looting
Players may loot the bodies of fallen enemies. Certain enemy minions will yield a Drake count dependent on the type of enemy.
Bribing
Characters may demand Drakes to leverage their own desires and needs.
Stealing
Depending on your character you may or may not do this. You can steal items or drakes, but if you are caught you earn a bounty on your head. This means more enemies will be after you, and your character's storyline and alignment might be altered because of it.
World Building
Any time you help out with world building by giving up an evening to build a fort, weedeat, set up a pulley, remove stumps, etc. you will earn 2 Drakes. On top of that, if you purchase things like torches, camping gear, or even props that are needed, you could also earn a Drake.
Spending
Missions
You may pay another character to take on missions for you.
Bribing
Characters may offer Drakes to leverage their own desires and needs.
Purchasing
Characters may purchase items in-game as available. Purchasing an item is required if a player brings in a new item, such as a new outift or weapon. Prices provided below are the Aspirian standard. Characters may choose to charge more or less as they wish.
