Summary

Matthew II is a reserved yet commanding young man. Trained and well educated in field medicine, he has been sent on a diplomatic mission to serve in the King’s Guard as a medic in an attempt to reopen relations between the Blackwoods and the Crown. However, his loyalties and goals may sometimes seem hard to decipher. He is fanatically devoted to the betterment of the Blackwoods, and will readily use manipulation, blackmail, or even violence as long as it benefits his people. He may feign allegiance to one group if he can further the prosperity of the Blackwoods in the process. Machiavellism may be an underlying trait of his, but he is still a good-natured man and would prefer the route of diplomacy and peace. After all, healing is his strength.
